ProjectLink is a project management consultancy that partners with clients to deliver complex projects with discipline and integrity. We are seeking an experienced Project Risk Specialist for a nine-month, full-time assignment on a mining project in Centurion.
The successful candidate will establish a structured risk-management process for the next phases of the project, facilitate risk discussions with stakeholders, and ensure that identified risks are actively monitored and managed throughout the project lifecycle.
Risk Governance and Planning
Develop the Project Risk Management Plan for the next phases of the project
Establish, maintain and regularly update the project risk register
Assess project-specific contractual risks
Compile the Project Insurance Risk Assessment Report
Stakeholder Engagement and Facilitation
Plan and facilitate project risk assessments and risk workshops
Identify, assess and prioritise risks in consultation with project, technical, commercial and other stakeholders
Assign and monitor risk-mitigation actions, owners and due dates
Monitoring, Reporting and Control
Track changes in project risk exposure and escalate significant concerns timeously
Monitor the effectiveness of risk responses and controls
Prepare regular risk-management reports for project and management review
Maintain accurate risk records and supporting documentation
PMP certification
PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP) certification
A minimum of five years’ experience in project risk management within the mining sector
Sound knowledge of project-related risks specific to mining projects
Proven experience facilitating risk assessments and workshops
Demonstrated experience in monitoring and controlling project risks
Strong stakeholder-engagement and communication skills
Relevant degree or diploma in Risk Management, Project Management, Engineering or a related field
